EARLY LIFE

Bose Akinola was born and raised in Ibadan, Oyo State. She attended local schools: Omoyeni Primary School, Community Grammar School in Akanran, and later Adekile Goodwill Grammar School, Orita-Aperin, where she obtained her WAEC certificate in 1989. After secondary education, she joined her mother’s business selling planks at Bodija Market in Ibadan, working there for several years. This humble background in trading shaped her early life before her passion for acting led her into the film industry.

CAREER

Bose Akinola joined the Nollywood/Yoruba film industry around 1997–1998, driven purely by passion. Her big break came with the movie Idunnu Okan, which brought her widespread recognition. She has featured in and produced numerous Yoruba films, including notable roles in Loogun Ofe, Amope Ajabiiji, Anike Olokopupo, Aderonke Aladiagbon, and Arada Ekun. She credits mentors and colleagues like Olusho Adeyinka, Kabikoss, Loveland, Alhaji Jare Shobaloju, Alhaji Akeem Ofale, and Alhaji Gbolagade Akinpelu (Ogunmajek) for helping her entry. PERSONAL LIFE

Bose Akinola is married to Mr. Buliaminu Akinola. The couple has four children and is now proud grandparents (with at least two grandchildren). She has spoken warmly about family support, particularly her husband’s encouragement of her acting career. On September 9, 2025, she celebrated a double blessing—her birthday and the arrival of a new grandchild, describing the baby as the “sweetest birthday gift” after months of prayers. She emphasizes family values, morality starting at home, and prioritizes roles her children can be proud of. She maintains strong friendships in the industry, notably with actress Rukayat Lawal (Iya Ibadan).
