Storyline
Executive produced by Yvonne Orji, The Fisherman is a vibrant blend of magical realism and sharp social comedy that explores the friction between old-world traditions and modern African life. The story follows the unlikely bond between an aging man and a "bougie" talking fish (voiced by comedian Dulo Harris) as they journey through the colorful landscapes of Ghana. Beyond the laughs, the film serves as a poignant commentary on climate change, the displacement of traditional livelihoods, and the unexpected friendships that bridge generational gaps.
