Risk Management

The movie Risk Management tells the painful story of Vanessa, a high school girl who suffers from emotional neglect by her mother and bullying at school. Her mother always shouts at her and her father does nothing to help. Even the new driver, Margaret, who is a family member, treats her badly and takes away her phone. Things start to change at school when Mr. David, her teacher, accidentally enters the girls' toilet and finds Vanessa crying. He protects her from the bullies Kamsi and Lara and later punishes them. He encourages Vanessa to study hard and assigns her an essay on bullying. Vanessa, who has never received such care, develops a strong romantic crush on Mr. David. She misreads his kindness as love. After he visits her home to speak with her parents but gets insulted by her mother, Vanessa confesses her feelings and tries to kiss him. Mr. David rejects her firmly and suspends her. Heartbroken, she sends him messages and later gives him a gift with a love note. His fiancée Juliana finds it and gets angry. To prove his innocence, Mr. David brings Juliana to meet Vanessa. But a secret video of the attempted kiss is shown at a disciplinary board meeting. When asked directly, the hurt Vanessa lies and says that she and Mr. David are in love. Her lie causes chaos. The innocent teacher is suspended and his career is ruined in this shocking twist.
