Mr Fixer

Victor, a university student in a Nigerian suburb, earns his keep as a handyman known as "Mr Fixer," plying his skills at a workshop while also offering tutorials on campus. After a woman calls him to fix a plumbing issue, his reputation for versatility is reaffirmed. Meanwhile, Angel, a student struggling under the stern Dr. Uche, learns of Victor's tutoring from her friend Sarah—though Sarah is initially rude when they meet. Angel's mother, Nancy, offers Victor a substantial sum to tutor Angel at home, which he accepts to fund his final year project. As the sessions progress, Sarah's disruptive behavior causes a rift; Angel defends Victor, declaring she would choose him over Sarah, ending their friendship. When Victor's project supervisor demands an urgent payment, Angel overhears and asks her mother for help. Impressed by his integrity, Nancy sends the remaining balance as a gift, leaving Victor overwhelmed. Angel passes her test with high marks, setting the stage for a celebration that quickly sours. Going to thank Victor, Angel spies him locked in an embrace with Sarah and, heartbroken, lies to her mother about his absence from dinner. Victor seeks her out, and after she confronts him, he reveals that Sarah had come to solicit his help in cheating on an exam, which he refused. The misunderstanding cleared, they reconcile; meanwhile, Sarah fails the course for the third time and must repeat a year. She later apologizes to Angel, who forgives her. On graduation day, Sarah orchestrates a reunion by bringing Victor, who has completed his national service. Over drinks, Victor confesses his love and proposes a relationship, but Angel, teasingly, says she will think about it before they toast to a future together. The final image sees them embracing, accompanied by the text "...and they lived happily ever after."
