Storyline
The film opens with Jason, a man in a Nigerian city, caring for his niece Daphne after her parents died. He lives with his fiancée Tara. Daphne depends completely on Jason, causing Tara to feel insecure. Small fights break out—who sits where in the car, wedding planning choices, and opinions from family like Chichi. Tara thinks about leaving for a job in Port Harcourt. Jason talks to a friend. He admits he promised his late brother to raise Daphne as his own daughter. That promise keeps him from setting boundaries. After a big argument, Jason reaches a breaking point. He sits down with Tara and Daphne. He tells them honestly that their fighting is hurting everyone. This honest talk changes things. Later, during a meal with Chichi, Tara says she is committed to Jason. She works to mend the household. The family starts to support each other more, giving Jason and Tara the space they need. "Love & Family" ends with the couple choosing to stay together and build a unified home.
