Storyline

Teni runs her father Babatunde's exclusive bar, juggling debt‑dodging regular Ade and a pregnant daughter he refuses to acknowledge, while wrestling with grief over her late mother. She fears Babatunde will waste away alone and enlists her skeptical friend Jola to vet a stepmother. Jola agrees reluctantly and they set their sights on Agnes, the sharp‑tongued pepper‑soup seller next door. Teni plants anonymous love letters at Agnes's shop and on the bar gate, and she schedules staged phone calls from Babatunde's phone to force the two into proximity. The scheme pulls the reluctant pair into volatile arguments laced with chemistry, and Jola supplies comedic commentary as Teni revisits memories of her mother. Later Agnes traces the text messages to Babatunde's phone and confronts him in a heated public showdown. She brands him a harasser and he denies authorship as both threaten police involvement. Teni steps forward and confesses that she orchestrated the entire campaign, scheduling messages from Babatunde's phone and planting the letters. The revelation stuns them into silence then laughter, and Babatunde is moved by his daughter's desperation for his happiness. He recognizes that Agnes's spirit mirrors his late wife's, and Agnes realizes the demonic behavior she condemned was actually a daughter's love. They share a genuine moment over pepper soup and acknowledge the bing‑bing in their hearts. Then a new rhythm settles over the neighborhood as Babatunde and Agnes begin a tentative courtship marked by shared meals and playful banter about BoBo Tunde. The bar adopts a shift system that grants Babatunde rest and gives Teni autonomy over her own schedule. Teni steps back from managing her father's life and accepts that change is constant. Babatunde admits he stopped living when his wife died, and Teni affirms she wants him to enjoy life rather than only endure it.
