Storyline

Clara storms into her son Benjamin's home, railing against a driver and immediately pressing his fiancée Sophie about her plans for children—insisting a marriage without grandchildren is pointless. While Sophie defends her intentions, the household is thrown into turmoil when Orioma, a village girl, arrives claiming she carries Benjamin's baby. Despite Benjamin's denials, Clara's desperation for a grandchild leads her to embrace Orioma and insist she stay, which drives Sophie to leave in shattered trust. Unbeknownst to the couple, Benjamin's friend Flora is quietly orchestrating the chaos: she too is pregnant with his child, a calculated act of revenge for a past romantic rivalry with Sophie during their college days, a spiral that lives up to the film's title 'Double Trouble'. The deception comes to a head when Benjamin visits Flora's home and she coldly reveals her pregnancy, reminding him of Sophie's old rivalry over a man named Michael. Sophie, who has secretly returned, overhears everything and bursts into the room, delivering a stinging slap to Benjamin and cursing Flora for her betrayal. The confrontation leaves Sophie walking away in tears, Benjamin reeling from the cumulative weight of his infidelities, and the family fractured. Months later, Orioma gives birth and decides to leave, seeking independence rather than a life tied to Benjamin's chaos. Clara, ever the meddler, arranges a house and business funds for her, while Benjamin pleads with Orioma to stay and consider building a future together; she refuses, prioritizing her own path. The film ends on an unsettled note as Benjamin receives a mysterious phone call, leaving his romantic future ambiguous, while Sophie remains devastated and Clara continues her relentless interference, ensuring the drama is far from over.
