In Choice Of Heart (Love Or Loyalty) Roli Peters celebrates her promotion at a restaurant with her longtime boyfriend Fife Adebowale and friends Yimika and another woman. The evening reveals Fife's financial strain when he secretly borrows money to cover the bill. At home Fife creates a romantic picnic and gifts Roli a necklace while promising a proper engagement ring once he gets settled. Roli's friends question the relationship and point out Fife's instability and how his constant presence blocks other suitors. Wealthy investor Alexander Coker begins pursuing Roli aggressively and showers her with expensive gifts including a trip to Rwanda a Goyard bag and twenty thousand dollars creating a tense love triangle. Fife arranges an elaborate outdoor proposal but Roli rejects him and confesses she is exhausted from carrying the relationship emotionally and financially for ten years.
