Roukietou Barry

Roukietou Barry is a prominent Burkinabé actress widely recognized for her memorable roles in classic West African cinema, particularly through her collaborations with the acclaimed, late director Idrissa Ouédraogo. She is best known for starring in several landmark films like Yaaba (1989), Tilaï / The Law (1990), Karim et Sala (1991), Le monde à l'endroit (2000), and Sauver Rama (2009). Her early work as a young actress contributed significantly to the global recognition of Burkina Faso's cinema during its golden era in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
