Rasmané Ouédraogo is a highly prominent Burkinabé actor, director, and producer. He is widely recognized as a titan of West African cinema, particularly famous for being the only actor to have performed in all three Burkinabé films that have won the prestigious Étalon d'or de Yennenga at FESPACO: Tilaï (1990/1991), Buud Yam (1997), and Katanga: The Dance of the Scorpions (2024/2025). He has a decades-long creative relationship with legendary directors like Idrissa Ouédraogo, starring in foundational African films like Yaaba (1989) and The Law (Tilaï, 1990). He delivered critically acclaimed performances in Ousmane Sembène's final masterpiece Moolaadé (2004), the Ivorian fantasy drama Night of the Kings (La nuit des rois, 2020), and Philippe Lacôte’s Run (2014). On the small screen, he is well-loved across Francophone Africa for his roles in popular series such as Trois hommes, un village (playing the character Ladji) and the crime comedy Super flics.
