Biography
EARLY LIFE
Anthony Ogbetere was raised in a family of educators—both parents were teachers. His childhood involved moving across several towns in former Bendel State (now Delta State), including Warri, Ughelli, Okwagbe, and Ozoro, which enabled him to speak multiple Nigerian languages including Urhobo, Ika, and Isoko.
Ogbetere's professional entertainment career began after NYSC. His first film role was in Picadilly (mid-1990s), playing a minor role as a wounded man. His breakthrough came in 1997 with Beyond Our Dreams, where he portrayed "Parker," earning wider recognition. His notable works include, Squatterz (2012), Lekki Wives (2013-2015, series), Police Post (2016-2018, series), Everyday People, Onome (2022), Papa Joe (2018), Truth or Die (2016), Parallel Paradox (2015), Stellar (2015), In Hot Soup, Kokomma, Slum King (2023). He also produced Dirty Diana (2001), The Prodigal Brother (2003), Behind the Magnet, One Outage Too Many, What Goes Around Stays Around, Men Who Cheat on Their Wives, Santa Alabama (2016), While You Slept, The Guardian.
