Pieces That Fit

In "Pieces That Fit", Amanda flees to Lagos from Enugu after her house burns down. She has nothing left and no one to turn to. She knocks on a door looking for an old friend, but the friend moved away long ago. Zainab, the woman now living there, feels sorry for her and lets her sleep inside for one night, even though she does not fully trust strangers in Lagos. The next day, Zainab takes Amanda to meet Jide, a talented architect who lives alone across the street. Jide stops her, learns the full truth about the years of beatings and the miscarriage, and refuses to let her leave. Together with Zainab, they make a plan. At a gathering, Jide confronts Ebuka while Zainab livestreams everything. When Ebuka attacks Jide in rage, others find courage to speak: Jide’s housekeeper reveals Ebuka raped her teenage daughter, and Amanda finally tells everyone about the abuse she suffered. The video jumps six months forward. Ebuka is arrested and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Jide’s career is thriving, Amanda is safe and loved, and fans who saw the livestream donated 5 million Naira to help her start fresh. Jide, Amanda, and Zainab sit together at an outdoor lounge, happy and free, toasting to new beginnings.
