Night Religion

The movie "Night Religion" follows Ruth, a young woman who tricks her family by pretending to be holy. She carries a Bible and claims she attends night vigils. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Falana, adore her and call her a child of grace. They scold her brother David, seeing him as lazy. David brings friend Tunde home, but the father throws him out for not going to church. Ruth's secret is dark. At night, she dresses sexy as Jessy and works as a sex worker. Her pimp, an older woman, takes most money and threatens to expose her. Ruth meets men like Mr. Martins for cash. David suspects her after seeing her near a hotel. He confronts her, but she denies and accuses him of lying from drugs. They fight; Ruth screams he chokes her. Parents believe her and blame David. David finds condoms and hotel receipt in her bag. He shows mom, proving Ruth's lies. Then, Ruth meets Jide, pushes him by accident over a flash drive, and he dies. Pimp finds the body and panics. Police arrive with David. Pimp exposes Ruth as a sex worker sleeping with old men. Parents hear and are crushed. Police arrest Ruth and pimp. Family watches in shock. The film shows how secrets ruin trust and judging by looks is wrong.
