Storyline
Banke and her freind Kosi gripe about inflation while shopping, their day interrupted by Ugo, whom Kosi waves off as creepy. At home, tensions flare between the friends over Kosi’s relationship with Frank, a man who refuses to have a baby. Left alone, Kosi takes a pregnancy test that turns positive. In a conflicted state, she arranges a date with Ugo but ultimately stands him up, citing a boyfriend. Her fragile hope shatters when Frank shows up with another woman, exposing his years of using her, leaving Kosi to weep over the betrayal. As time passes, Banke reconnects with Ugo, who drives her home and engages in lighthearted banter that softens her resistance. He admits he genuinely enjoys her company, and Banke discovers his comfortable wealth, including warehouses and a wig business. Convinced she has found My Ideal Man, Banke accepts his heartfelt proposal and a ring. Meanwhile, Kosi’s own heartbreak after Frank’s betrayal spirals into a terrible secret: she tells Banke she is pregnant, and that Ugo took advantage of her while she was drunk. Ugo looks confused and claims no memory, but Banke, horrified, pulls away, leaving the engagement in limbo. Later, Ugo and Banke discuss marriage plans while Kosi contemplates the weight of her situation. The sisters’ family drags Frank into a confrontation, but Frank insists the baby is his, and Ugo counters that he is the father. The dispute escalates until the family demands an oath at the village shrine to determine paternity. Ugo, cornered, apologizes to Kosi, but the matter hangs unresolved. In the end, Ugo begs for Kosi’s forgiveness and tries to reach Banke, who ignores his calls completely. The film closes on the credits, offering no reconciliation, just the ache of unanswered pleas.
