Love At The Gate

In Love At The Gate, Kenny Agumba deliberately takes a job as the gateman at Miranda's luxurious estate. While Miranda deals with her incompetent staff and her growing feelings for Dr. Jide, her new gateman proves to be surprisingly capable. Kenny helps stop a cyber attack on Miranda's company, showing skills far beyond his job. The maids, Nkechi and Dorcas, compete for his affection, but Kenny is focused on his real mission. Kenny reveals to his adoptive father that he has found "her." He then confronts Miranda, handing her his birth certificate. He tells her he is the son she was forced to give up for adoption 24 years ago when she was a young university student. A shocked Miranda explains her parents made her give the baby away to protect their reputation and that she later tried but failed to find him. They share a very emotional reunion as mother and son. At that moment, Dr. Jide arrives and mistakes the hug for an attack. Miranda stops him, crying tears of joy, and introduces Kenny as her long-lost son. The story ends with Kenny joining Miranda at the head of the family dining table for breakfast, while the confused maids are warned to respect him. Kenny silently thanks his adoptive father for raising him well, as he finally finds his place with his biological mother.
