Storyline
Ebuka, Lanre, and Kweku share a modern Lagos duplex where clashing alarms and a disastrous kitchen fuel daily resentment. Ebuka invites his childhood friend Chinedu to stay indefinitely without consulting the others, and this breach ignites a shouting match about boundaries and rent. Chinedu plays loud Igbo music and brings frequent female visitors and keeps unsanitary habits. Lanre demands the guest leave but Kweku vacillates between mediation and self-preservation. Chinedu is found dead in Ebuka's room. Inspector Malik hauls all three tenants into an interrogation room and presses them on their movements and secrets. Under pressure Kweku confesses to lacing Chinedu's food with laxatives as payback for stolen meals. Lanre's ownership of the property emerges during the questioning and Ebuka's occasional drug use is also exposed. The autopsy results arrive like a reprieve because Chinedu died of a drug-induced heart failure caused by his own substance abuse to impress women. The criminal case closes and the trio goes free. A humbled Ebuka seeks out Lanre to apologize for his volcanic temper. He acknowledges that his retired madman persona poisoned their coexistence. Lanre accepts the apology and retracts his eviction notice. Ebuka decides to abandon Lagos, and he plans to return to Aba to manage his family textile business. The film closes on a bittersweet farewell outside the duplex where the three men gather. Ebuka, Lanre, and Kweku exchange teasing jabs about egg consumption, drug habits, and unpaid rent. Their banter restores the easy rhythm that Chinedu's presence shattered. Ebuka walks away with his bag and promises to visit. Lanre and Kweku watch him go and marvel at the sudden peace.
