Fanta Money

The movie Fanta Money follows Fanta, a Ghanaian woman in Nigeria, through her struggles and rise. It begins in a hotel where she argues with James over payment for her services as a sex worker. She demands a high fee, calling herself a "Ghana fresh babe." James tries to negotiate, but she calls her boss. Later, James complains to the pimp at an eatery about paying 300,000 Naira for poor service. The pimp refuses a refund but offers another girl. In the bedroom, Fanta dances seductively for James. After changing into a revealing dress, she insists on confirming payment first. James gets frustrated and tries to force her. When she refuses, he attacks. Fanta fights back, grabs her things, and runs barefoot from the hotel, distressed. On the road, Kosi drives by and sees her upset state. He offers a ride and takes her home, giving food, rest, and cash for clothes. Grateful, Fanta buys him an iPhone with her money. Their calm life breaks when Kosi's mother visits. She insults Fanta, calling her a "stray dog" and demands explanations. Kosi defends her, but it hurts Fanta. Fanta tells Kosi her story: not a prostitute by choice. After her father's death, a scammer promised a job in Nigeria but took her passport and forced her into sex work. Kosi offers 20 million Naira to pay off her master for freedom. Fanta refuses, saying true freedom can't be bought; she must leave and rebuild alone. Five years later, Fanta is a successful businesswoman in a suit, working in an office. Kosi visits; they reunite warmly. She's independent, and he's married with kids. The film ends positively on her transformation.
