EARLY LIFE

Ankomah began acting in 1994, participating in auditions for movies and acting in television series and films. She placed third in the 2007 edition of the Next Movie Star reality show. In 2017, she criticized the superficial narratives of Ghanaian films, calling for thematic changes for industry development, which drew backlash from some film stakeholders.
