Storyline

David is an animated epic that follows the full story of the shepherd who became king. The movie begins with the prophet Samuel secretly anointing young David as the future King of Israel, while Saul still rules. David enters Saul's service as a musician and becomes best friends with the king's son, Jonathan. His famous fight with the giant Goliath is a huge victory, making him a hero. But this leads to King Saul's terrible jealousy. Saul tries to kill David, forcing David to run for his life and hide in the wilderness for years, even though he is the chosen king. The film shows this long, difficult period where David must wait and trust his destiny. It explores his deep friendship with Jonathan, which survives despite Saul's hatred. The story does not end with Goliath's death. Instead, it follows David's painful journey as a fugitive, his refusal to kill Saul when he has the chance, and his ultimate rise to the throne after Saul's death in battle. It is a story about faith, patience, and the true heart of a leader, set to an inspiring musical score.
