A Chance At Love

In "A Chance At Love", wealthy Jason complains about a meal, leading chef Miriam to deliver a new one. They feel a connection. Soon after, Miriam's ex, Kingsley, returns. He denied being the father of her 14-year-old daughter, Avery, years ago. Now rich, he wants full custody. He harasses Miriam and gets her evicted. Homeless, Miriam turns to Jason. He reveals he is a lawyer and fights Kingsley in court for free. He moves Miriam and Avery into his home for safety. Kingsley tries to bribe Jason with millions to drop the case, but Jason refuses. Angry, Kingsley hires thugs to kill Jason. They shoot Jason in the arm, but he survives in the hospital. This makes Jason and Miriam closer. After recovering, Jason sets a trap. He meets Kingsley and makes him angry. Kingsley brags and confesses to ordering the hit on Jason, saying he will do anything to win. The police are listening and recording everything. They arrest Kingsley right there for attempted murder. With Kingsley gone, Jason and Miriam can be together. Jason tells Miriam he loves her and wants to be a father to Avery. The movie ends with the three of them toasting to their new life as a family.
