EARLY LIFE
Ijapari Ben-Hirki always knew she wanted to be on TV, initially as a TV host, admiring Oprah Winfrey and later Mo Abudu. As a child and teenager, she participated in many church plays. Her love for Genevieve Nnaji, which began when she was 9, inspired her to pursue acting further.
CAREER
Ijapari Ben-Hirki began acting after an audition approximately 11 years ago (around 2013). Her first acting role was a supporting role in 2019. She has since featured in Prime Video’s ‘Beyond the Veil’. She prepares for new roles by reading the script multiple times, focusing on her scenes, understanding the character, and immersing herself in the character's personality before and during filming. She aspires to play diverse roles, including a serial killer or a psycho, and an African princess with superpowers. Cultural representation is important to her in the roles she chooses, as she believes movies are a powerful medium to educate people about Nigerian cultures and traditions, hoping to portray her relatively minority tribe from the north in a positive light.
PERSONAL LIFE
