Biography
EARLY LIFE
Fred Amata is a native of Isoko in Delta State, Nigeria. Born into an entertainment family, his father Pa John Ifoghale Amata was the first African to shoot a celluloid film 'Freedom' in 1957 and was a playwright and actor. He studied Theatre Arts at the University of Jos.
CAREER
Fred Amata is a Nigerian actor, producer, and director. He shot into the limelight in 1986 for his role in the film 'Legacy'. He served as President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria from 27 February 2016 to 2021.
PERSONAL LIFE
Formerly married to TV host and producer Agatha Amata, with whom he has two children. His siblings including Zack Amata and others are also in entertainment.
