Ese Idia, also known as Ikponmwosa Gift Esosa, is a Nollywood actress, producer, and writer who began her acting journey in 2011. She has transformed the perceived barrier of being a plus-size woman into a strength, aiming to pave the way for other plus-size black women in the industry. Her passion for storytelling and filmmaking drives her success in sharing captivating African original stories with the world. She has over a decade of experience in the Nigerian film industry.
CAREER
Ese Idia has starred in numerous notable movies and television series, including '30 Days,' 'The Bride Price,' 'Years Gone,' 'Dear Sisters,' 'Sparadise,' 'Tinsel,' 'House of Chaos,' 'Enakhe,' and 'Lagos Compound.' In 2017, she ventured into production, producing her first feature film 'Clash of the Spirits,' followed by 'Toxic' (2019, Short Film), 'Sammie and Gina' (2023, Feature Film), and 'House of Chaos' (2024, Series).
