Streets Of Heaven

Streets Of Heaven follows Paul, a successful tech entrepreneur building Christian apps, as his mother pressures him to marry. One morning, after praying for God to send him a wife, he collides with Grace, a young woman rushing to a job interview. They meet again in church, and Paul courts her with a car and endless gifts, charming Grace, an aspiring writer, into falling for him. They become engaged, but before the wedding Grace discovers that both carry the sickle cell trait and that their children could inherit sickle cell disease. Paul insists God promised a miracle and refuses to let doubt cancel the wedding; Grace reluctantly goes through with it. Grace's first pregnancy brings the same diagnosis: sickle cell anemia. Paul blames her doubts, and they have two daughters, Sarah and Deborah, both sick. When Sarah dies in the hospital, grief hardens into accusation; Grace believes Paul pushed her toward catastrophe, Paul believes her lack of faith killed their daughter. The marriage becomes a battlefield, and when Deborah comes down with streptococcus pneumonia and requires intensive hospital care, the weight breaks Grace. She survives the ordeal, but Grace ends up restrained in a hospital bed, mentally broken and asking for her children. After discharge, Grace resolves to leave. Supported by her sister, she packs her belongings and prepares to move to Abuja. Paul arrives and begs her to stay, but Grace tells him she forgives him, herself, and their past; she still loves him, yet love alone cannot mend what is broken. They share a last sorrowful embrace, and then Grace walks out of the house, leaving Paul in the doorway as she searches for a new beginning away from the pain.
