Miracle Man

Ebele Uzodinma lives in a modest Lagos home with her mother after her father dies. Her mother suffers a leg injury that needs physiotherapy they cannot afford. Ebele sells akara to survive and has given up her university dreams. She meets Aaron, a wealthy educated man who buys her books and a phone and shows genuine kindness. Her mother pressures her to accept a marriage proposal from an older elder but Ebele refuses, saying she wants education not marriage. Aaron's persistent generosity wins over her mother who sees him as their salvation from poverty. Ebele still loves Tobe, a carpenter her mother calls fish brain, but she marries Aaron anyway. They have a daughter named Princess and enjoy a comfortable life built on his income. Ebele continues a secret affair with Tobe for three years, sneaking him into their matrimonial home whenever Aaron travels. Her mother discovers the affair but covers for her because she values the financial security Aaron provides. He installs CCTV cameras inside the house because he suspects betrayal. Aaron receives the DNA test results that confirm Princess is his biological daughter. He confronts Ebele with cold precision and exposes her betrayal and her mother's complicity. Ebele breaks down and confesses everything and pleads for forgiveness but Aaron remains unmoved. Aaron declares he is done and intends to take Princess and leave. He condemns the waste of his love and time and thanks Ebele's mother sarcastically for hiding the truth. Ebele is left alone and realizes too late that Aaron's love and blood saved their daughter during a medical crisis, not Tobe's. She acknowledges her greed and selfishness and has lost her husband and her daughter and the life built on Aaron's sacrifice. The film ends with Ebele in utter ruin bearing sole responsibility for her downfall.
