Loving Samira

At the market, Samira haggles a pineapple down, then saves a stranger in a purple kaftan from an inflated watermelon price. Walking to her car, she learns he is Umar, a Muslim Lagos businessman who built a company from nothing; their chemistry earns her his number. He tells his friend, who pushes him to pursue her. At a riverfront lunch, they agree on monogamy—she from her parents' example, he despite his polygamous upbringing. Umar calls her at work, her father beams at her success, and her mother grows suspicious when she finds him napping in Samira's office. Samira finally listens, Umar apologizes with a promise never to hurt her again, and she reveals she is pregnant. His joy fills the room; with her blessing, they go home together to start their second chance.
