Her Sister's Choice

In Her Sister's Choice Chioma, a struggling market trader, loses sleep over her younger sister Evelyn's unpaid NYSC clearance fees. She vows to find the money despite their poverty. Meanwhile Evelyn draws attention from wealthy suitors like Chief Okwa Bonono and Chinedu who flaunt inherited land and business empires at her stall. Evelyn secretly sees Damien who gets her pregnant then coldly rejects her at the hospital leaving her devastated. Chioma's aggressive market demeanor masks desperation and she later ejects Evelyn's friend from their home demanding Evelyn focus on securing a future. Chioma urges Evelyn to accept a billionaire's proposal as a bridge out of poverty framing love without money as noise. Evelyn meets the charismatic billionaire who tours her through his mansion and lists high profile friends including E-money Obi Cubana and Dangote's PA. He promises to fund her master's degree abroad and she agrees. Simultaneously Damien is exposed as a chef who stole his boss's car and bet a friend he could win Evelyn. The boss evicts the cheating staff. The billionaire's brother, a flamboyant cowboy hat wearing tycoon, arrives to lift the family further offering Chioma an importation business and showering cash. Evelyn marries the billionaire and reveals a pregnancy which triggers his joy but also a private crisis. He wonders aloud whether their marriage was a bet. Damien confronts both sisters in a courtyard and admits the wager and begs forgiveness for the unborn child. Chioma kneels pleading for grace but Evelyn, betrayed and pregnant, rejects their touch. She declares she will hustle her own wealth and does not need a rich man. Damien vows to work for the child. The billionaire husband's reaction remains unresolved. In the aftermath Evelyn resolves to forge an independent path despite the pregnancy and shattered trust. Chioma supports her sister's defiance.
