Nelly Mbonu, born Nnenna Mbonu on June 15, 1995, in Igbere, Abia State, Nigeria, hails from a close-knit Igbo family rooted in Abia State. Her journey began in the beauty pageant circuit. In 2014, she won the Face of Igbere title. The following year (2015), she was crowned Miss Tourism (also referred to as Ada Abia in some contexts). She later represented Nigeria at the Miss Tourism International pageant in China in 2019, showcasing her poise and cultural ambassador qualities on an international stage.
