Biography
EARLY LIFE
Linda Adesuwa Osifo was born on July 27, 1991 in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. She is the first daughter and middle child of her family. She grew up with her grandmother and moved to Canada at the age of 16, spending most of her adult years in Toronto, Ontario, before relocating to Lagos, Nigeria, to pursue acting. After graduating from St Thomas Aquinas High School, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from York University in Toronto in 2013.
CAREER
Linda Osifo holds Nigerian and Canadian citizenship. She was first runner-up at Miss Nigeria Entertainment Canada 2011 and second runner-up at Miss AfriCanada 2011. She made her acting debut in 2012 in Family Secrets in New Jersey, USA, directed by Ikechukwu Onyeka. In 2013, she returned to Nigeria and starred in her first Nollywood film King Akubueze, directed by Nonso Emekewe. She appeared in the soap opera Tinsel as Nina Fire. Notable roles include Rhetta Moore in Desperate Housewives Africa (2015, for which she was nominated for ELOY Awards for Best Actress in a TV Series), Adesuwa Dakolo in Fifty (2017), and Noweyhon in Jemeji. She has also featured in films such as Merry Men 2 (2019, as Chief Omole), Son of Mercy (2020, as Princess), A Naija Christmas (2021, as Vera), and The Men's Club (2023, as Katherine). She co-hosts the "Give 'n' Take National Jackpot" gameshow with Segun Arinze and presented at the 12th Headies Awards in 2018. In 2018, she appeared in the Campari "Make it Red" campaign with Tobi Bakre and 2Baba. Her music video roles include "Target You" (2020) for 2Baba featuring Syemca and "Wildin" (2014) for MMZY.
PERSONAL LIFE
Linda Osifo is single and has focused on her career. She founded the LAO Foundation (Love and Oneness) to combat poverty and illiteracy in Nigeria and Africa, focusing on education for underprivileged children. She has donated seven computer sets to Little Saints Orphanage in Lagos and ICT resources to Living Fountain Orphanage on her 31st birthday in 2022.
