Biography

EARLY LIFE

Dayo Ajifowoke was born on 16 February 1989 in Lagos State, Nigeria. He was raised in Mushin, Lagos, where he attended Oduabore Memorial Primary School and Ajumoni Senior Secondary School. After secondary school, he worked briefly with Harvest Food Limited. He obtained a National Diploma (ND) in Public Administration from Kwara State Polytechnic, during which he completed his Industrial Training at Powergas Energy Resources. He later earned both his BSc and MPA degrees from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

CAREER

Dayo Ajifowoke is the founder and CEO of Face of Africa Media Concept, a production and distribution company he established in 2014. The company focuses on promoting authentic African stories globally and collaborates with filmmakers from Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon, and South Africa for co-productions, mentorship, and international distribution. His notable productions include, May 29 (2020), Depth of Us (2024). His films have been officially selected and awarded at several international festivals, including Zuma Film Festival, Phare Film Festival (Mauritius), and others. He also serves as an international film jury member at various global festivals. In recognition of his global impact in African cinema, storytelling, and cultural exchange, he received a Certificate of Recognition from the Mayor of Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

PERSONAL LIFE

Dayo Ajifowoke is married to Olamide Oladele Ajifowoke. The couple has one child. He maintains a relatively private family life while occasionally sharing moments of gratitude for his family on social media.
