Abdoul Karim Konaté

Abdoul Karim Konaté is an award-winning actor and screenwriter from Côte d'Ivoire. Born in the Treichville commune of Abidjan in 1980, he has built a prominent career in West African cinema, particularly through his frequent collaborations with acclaimed Ivorian director Philippe Lacôte. He gained international recognition for playing the titular character in the 2014 drama film Run, which was selected for the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival. Konaté's most notable project highlights span across acclaimed feature films and major regional TV series include Night of the Kings (2020), Cacao (2020), Burn It Up Djassa (2012), and To Repel Ghosts (2013).
