To Love A Thief

In To Love A Thief, Eric works the night shift at a supermarket until he confronts Celine, a wealthy customer, for stealing a baby shoe. The manager fires him on the spot to protect a major client. Eric returns home to his mother, who suffers from a gastrointestinal stromal tumor and cannot afford medication or food. Desperate, he steals a loaf of bread, and a mob catches him, forces a tire around his neck, and prepares to lynch him.
