The Devil's Godfather

The film opens with Dozie Azikiwe's nightmare, where a captor forces him to choose between his wife, brother, or daughter. He wakes up terrified. In Enugu State, a man in green is executed by security forces. Police later arrest Dozie's brother Junior for assault, using CCTV evidence. Dozie struggles with Junior's criminal behavior. When the Minister of Petroleum dies mysteriously, a political power struggle begins. The President and Chief of Staff Amanda pick Dozie as the new Minister. Dozie balances his new job with a crumbling home life: his wife Ada is distant, and Junior is released. Dozie also plays psychological games with a woman named Rose, testing her loyalty. The climax: a boardroom confrontation where the President offers Dozie a corrupt deal—70% of a venture—but threatens to destroy him. Dozie finds moral strength, rejects the ultimatum, and declares he serves the people. He walks away from the corrupt system, refusing to compromise his integrity. 'THE DEVIL'S GODFATHER' ends with Dozie's principled stand.
