Storyline

June and David's marriage was already fragile when David secretly paid school fees for a student at Bright Future Academy. June discovered this and accused him of infidelity, sparking constant fights. David's aunt, Aunty Chichi, moved in and made things worse, siding with David and criticizing June. The tension exploded when June and Aunty Chichi had a physical fight, leaving the household in chaos. David felt trapped between his wife and aunt, and his mental state deteriorated. One night, distraught and driving recklessly, David hit a pedestrian and fled. He later confessed to June, consumed by guilt. June struggled with her own paranoia and depression but eventually decided to forgive him for the sake of their sons, Adrian and Leo. They started therapy and slowly rebuilt trust. In a symbolic new beginning, David proposed to June on a sports track with their children watching, promising to never let bitterness break them again. The film 'Mending Hearts' ends with the family embracing, ready to heal together.
