Better Half

Sia is a lecturer. Her student Kanye is obsessed with her. Sia has a long-distance boyfriend named Kennedy who sends her expensive gifts, like a car and a ring. The truth is, Kennedy does not exist. Kanye is using a fake voice to catfish Sia. He is the one sending all the gifts with his father's money. Kanye even gets his father to help him trick Sia. He tells Sia that Kennedy cannot come to their traditional wedding ceremony. Kanye's father acts as the groom's representative instead. Sia marries "Kennedy" without ever seeing him. Later, a newspaper headline exposes everything. It says Sia married her own student, Kanye, in a fake marriage. Sia is heartbroken and humiliated. She realizes Kanye tricked her into marrying him. She gets very depressed. Kanye feels sorry but says he did it because he truly loves her. His father visits Sia. He apologizes but warns her that ending the marriage now will create a big scandal. He asks her to give Kanye a real chance. Slowly, Sia begins to accept the situation. In the end, she leaves her house with Kanye, starting their real life together as husband and wife.
