Bank And Bond

The story in "Bank And Bond" begins when Marie sees Dante return home late with another woman. She is upset, but her friend Riva tells her to stay calm. Sharing the apartment grows tense as loud fights about respect and rules start to push them apart. Everything changes when Riva brings Annie to the flat. He believes she is different and wants a serious life with her. Dante warns him that letting new people inside will only bring trouble. Riva ignores the advice. One quiet evening, Annie and Dante end up sharing a kiss. Marie finds out and loses control. She attacks Annie and blames her for destroying the peace. The fight shatters the trust between the two best friends. Dante blames Riva for allowing a stranger to cause pain, while Riva refuses to see the damage she has done. The home becomes too heavy to bear. Dante packs his bags and walks away. Annie tries to stop him, but he tells her she ruined his closest friendship and is a walking warning. Riva soon wakes up to the truth too. He calls her reckless and leaves her standing alone. In the final scene, Dante drinks outside, calls Annie to order her out, and then meets Riva. They shake hands, forgive each other, and choose their bond over a short romance.
