EARLY LIFE

Selassie Ibrahim, born on May 19, is a Ghanaian actress, film producer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. She made her screen debut in the 1990s with the movie 'My Sweetie', starring alongside Grace Omaboe and Mc-Jordan Amatefio, which provided her breakthrough.

CAREER

Selassie Ibrahim has starred in over 50 Ghanaian movies and various Nigerian productions for IROKOtv, including 'Her Mother’s Man' and 'Baby Palaver'. She has also featured in films such as 'Without Bounds', 'Love Shenanigans', 'Graduation', 'City Crime', 'I Hate You Too', 'Meet the Jacobs', and '40 Looks Good on You'. She produced her first movie with Zack Orji in 2001, followed by 'The CEO' in 2009. In 2011, she produced a film featuring Nadia Buari, James Gardner, Desmond Elliot, and Roselyn Ngissah. In 2017, she produced a television series directed by Desmond Elliott called 'Entrapped', which aired on African Magic Showcase, EbonyLifeTV, and TV3 Network in Ghana. Ibrahim is the CEO of Smarttys Management and Productions, a company specializing in adverts, documentaries, movie production, magazines, public relations, and consultancy services. She is also the executive director of Jabneel Impact, a non-governmental developmental organization focused on bringing sustainable livelihoods to vulnerable members of society. In 2019, she premiered her movie '40 Looks Good On You', which she also featured in alongside Freddie Leonard, Uche Jombo, John Dumelo, Shafy Bello, and Roselyn Ngissah.
