Ruth Kamanzi

Ruth Kamanzi is a multi-talented Ugandan creative entrepreneur, musical artist, and actress known for her soulful vocal performances and roles in East African television and film. She refined her musical abilities at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, an experience she credits with helping her embrace her authentic artistic voice. She is known often as "the girl and her guitar," she delivers acoustic, soulful performances across live music setups like Sofar Kampala. In July 2026, she took center stage at the Uganda Media Centre to deliver a highly praised, moving rendition of the national anthem during the official launch of #SautiYaUganda. She gained recognition as an actress for her roles in A Familiar Christmas (2022) and #Family (2018).

Beyond her solo artistry, she is a public relations and communications enthusiast with a strong interest in emerging technologies and Artificial Intelligence. She actively advocates for the inclusion of creative perspectives in corporate governance, famously highlighting through her professional network that "art also belongs in the board rooms and corporate meetings".
