Nisrin Erradi

EARLY LIFE

Nisrin Erradi was born on 6 August 1989 in Rabat, Morocco. She grew up in the city and developed an early interest in performance, joining theatre groups during her school years. After obtaining her baccalauréat, she enrolled at the prestigious Higher Institute of Dramatic Art and Cultural Animation (ISADAC) in Rabat, where she received formal training in dramatic arts. She began appearing in short films, television work, and on stage even before graduating.

CAREER

Erradi began her professional career in Moroccan theatre, short films, and television. She gained early visibility through popular Moroccan series (including work that introduced her to wider local audiences during Ramadan programming) and supporting film roles. Her international breakthrough came with Maryam Touzani’s Adam (2019), in which she played Samia (or Samyah), a young single mother. The film premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival, was selected as Morocco’s entry for the Academy Awards, and earned Erradi significant critical praise, including Best Actress at the Durban International Film Festival and a César “Révélations” (Most Promising Actress) nomination. PERSONAL LIFE

Erradi keeps her personal life private and rarely discusses family or relationships in interviews. She has spoken about separating her private life from her professional work and focuses publicly on her craft and the social themes in her roles. She is based in Morocco.

Erradi has received recognition at festivals including Best Actress at the Durban International Film Festival (for Adam), awards related to Everybody Loves Touda (including Best Actress at Festival 2 Cinéma de Valenciennes and other honours), and has been highlighted among emerging Arab cinema talents (e.g., Screen Daily’s Arab Stars of Tomorrow).
