Neville Misati

EARLY LIFE

Neville Misati is from Nairobi, Kenya. He attended Dagoretti High School and later studied at Multimedia University of Kenya. He trained professionally as a chef at Boma International Hospitality College, specialising in international cuisine and baking/pastry, and also trained as an assistant nurse with caregiving and childcare experience gained during time spent in Washington, USA.

CAREER

Misati has worked as an actor in film, television, theatre, commercials, and voice-over for over a decade, both locally in Kenya and internationally. Notable screen roles include Blacksta in Wanuri Kahiu’s Rafiki (2018), Michael Odhiambo in Nightrunners (2015), George in An Instant Dad (2023), and appearances in Shuga (as Winston), Jane & Abel (as Patrick), How to Find a Husband, New Beginnings, Crime and Justice, and more recent projects such as Hollow, Thief, and the series Ayana. He has also worked in location management (including as location consultant on 40 Sticks, 2020) and as a voice artist, providing narration, commercial, and character work (including Swahili voice roles in the video game Tales of Kenzera: Zau). Clients and platforms have included Showmax, M-Net, MTV Africa, and various production houses. Alongside acting, he is an active chef and content creator under the “Chef Beast” brand, producing culinary content and running related creative projects.

Neville Misati is a versatile Kenyan performer known for supporting and character roles in notable East African productions, particularly Rafiki. His multi-disciplinary background—combining acting, voice work, culinary arts, nursing training, and location management—makes him a distinctive figure in Kenya’s creative and hospitality scenes.
