EARLY LIFE

Nennaya Okorocha was born on April 17, 2007, in Los Angeles, California, where she was also raised. She is of Nigerian-American heritage and comes from a family of Igbo origin hailing from Abia State, Nigeria. She holds dual citizenship in the United States and Nigeria. Okorocha is the oldest of five children and a fraternal twin to actress Ugo Okorocha, being older by 3 minutes. Her full name is Nennaya Mary Onyinyechi Okorocha; she is professionally known as Nennaya Okorocha, with "Mary" serving as her English name and "Nenna" as her nickname. Nennaya Okorocha attends Palos Verdes High School in Palos Verdes Estates, California, as a member of the class of 2025.

CAREER

Nennaya Okorocha began her acting career at the age of seven, securing a recurring role in a television show on the African Magic channel around 2014. Around age 11, she booked her first major projects, including a supporting role as Rihana (also credited as Rihanna) in the 2018 series Homecoming. In 2019, she appeared as Tarriss in the production Nanny for Christmas. She then took on her first series regular role as Olivia in the TV mini-series Kojo and the Kids, which premiered in 2020. Since 2022, she has established herself through a series of acting roles in film and television, appearing in projects such as In the Act (2022), Double Perfect Plan (2022), Taken Too Far (2024), We Are Family (2024–2025), and Uncle Knows Best (2025–2026). Okorocha has also become a multi-hyphenate filmmaker, contributing as a producer on We Are Family (2024–2025), Taken Too Far (2024), Calm Down (2024), Adunni's Mistake (2024), and Be Careful What You Wish For (pre-production). She wrote Calm Down (2024) and Adunni's Mistake (2024), and provided the story for and is set to direct Be Careful What You Wish For (pre-production). She also directed Calm Down (2024) and co-directed Adunni's Mistake (2024).

PERSONAL LIFE

Nennaya Okorocha has participated in community service through volunteering at the LA Food Bank, a Nigerian orphanage, and with Maokoko. In school leadership, she served as Co-President of the Black Student Union for two years and as Vice President of Events for one year. Okorocha competes in track and field athletics, with a primary focus on the 200-meter event and a secondary emphasis on the 100-meter dash.
