David Eyo

EARLY LIFE

David Okpo Eyo was born on 23 February 1998 and raised in Cross River State, Nigeria. He hails from Creek Town in Odukpani Local Government Area and is linked to the Ibitam Royal House of Creek Town. His parents are Chief Eyo Itam Eyo and Mrs. Eyo; both are alive. He has siblings. He developed an early interest in performance and the arts. He studied Theatre and Media Studies at the University of Calabar, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After university he completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Lagos State, passing out in February 2023.

CAREER

David Eyo first gained public attention through male pageantry before transitioning more fully into Nollywood acting. Pageantry highlights: Mr. Universe Nigeria Tourism 2021 (and related titles such as Mr. Tourism Nigeria / official delegate pathways). Face of Zaron Cosmetics 2022. Mr. Tourism World Nigeria 2022. Participation in Mr World Nigeria 2024 (won Mr. Photogenic). Top 6 at Mister of Nigeria 2025 (MUSON Centre, Lagos, May 2025), after which he was crowned Caballero Universal Nigeria 2025 and selected to represent Nigeria at the international Caballero Universal competition in Colombia. He has spoken about facing online trolling during early pageant auditions but persevering. Acting: He is a rising Nollywood actor known for roles in films and series including Covenant (2022), The Counsellor (2024), Lekki Wives: The Reunion (2024), The Low Priest (2025), Mama Says No (2026), and other projects. PERSONAL LIFE

David Eyo is single. He describes himself as a creative go-getter who pursues his goals persistently.
