Brian Munene is a Kenyan filmmaker, actor, writer, producer, director, and sound designer who began his professional acting career in 2007. He has been a member of the Phoenix Players theatre group in Nairobi since 2010, where he performed in productions such as Florinda Hotel (2013) and premiered his original play Roots of Shame, Seeds of Pain (2014), earning a nomination for Best Playwright at the 2014 Sanaa Awards.
