EARLY LIFE

Angela Mwandanda, also known as Shinde, is a Kenyan performing artist born around 1985. At age 19, she attended her first audition at the Phoenix Players theater in Kenya, where she met Angela Ndambuki and Debbie Asila, leading to the formation of the girl group Tattuu. She studied at the Buruburu Institute of Fine Arts (BIFA).

Angela Mwandanda is a professional actor, singer, voice-over artist, and freelance writer who has been active in the Kenyan entertainment industry for over 20 years. Her career began with stage acting at the legendary Phoenix Players, where she honed her skills under mentors like James Falkland and explored works by Shakespeare. She gained fame as the lead singer of Tattuu, Kenya's iconic girl group in the 2000s, alongside Angela Ndambuki and Debbie Asila, achieving success in East Africa and beyond during the Ogopa DJs era. Transitioning from pop stardom, she pursued solo music, releasing singles, and entered the corporate world with roles in advertising, communication, and business development. She currently serves as the National Coordinator of the Recording Industry of Kenya (RIKE), advocating for music industry development. Her acting credits include Grace and Judy in the 2008 shorts Georgy, Lefty, and Sean, Judy in Judy M.D.: Super Surgeon (2008).
