Yours Truly

In Yours Truly, Joy finds a wallet at a supermarket and returns it. The owner, Tokpe, offers to pay for her purchases, but Joy refuses. They become friends, and Joy gives Tokpe a ride home. Tokpe hires Joy to care for her ailing mother, and Joy moves into the family home. There Joy bonds with Mrs Stephen, who becomes a mother to her. She also meets Derek, Tokpe's brother, a politician fighting negative media. Joy tells him how to change the narrative, and he is impressed. A transporter harasses a staff member. Joy steps in, and Derek takes notice. She helps with his campaign, and he promises to find her a job. A media house rejects her because of her criminal record. Derek reads an email that reveals she was imprisoned, and he confronts her. Joy explains she was jailed for defending herself against an assault by her former boss's son. She feels judged and leaves the house. Mrs Stephen tracks Joy down and reminds her that her dreams are worth fighting for. Joy returns, and the family decides to reopen her case. They learn her attacker has died. With the legal obstacles gone, they support Joy in securing a scholarship. Joy receives the email and is overwhelmed with gratitude. She and Derek confess their love. Joy writes a letter of thanks and signs it 'Yours truly, Joy.'
