Storyline
Bola, engaged to Taye through an arranged marriage orchestrated by her father for family stability, feels neglected during a business-focused family dinner on her birthday. She demands time alone with Taye but resents living in any man's shadow, leading her to blame her father and threaten to end the engagement. Elsewhere, Uzor promises his dying aunt to find the parents of Joy, a little girl given to her because the biological father rejected a female child. Uzor reunites with Bola, his ex from university, explaining their breakup: his father imprisoned him, causing his mother's fatal stroke. They gain closure, and Joy bonds with Bola, even inviting her to dinner and suggesting that Uzor marry her. Uzor's investigation reveals Bola's father as the one who gave Joy away. Bola pieces together that Joy was born during her relationship with Uzor, realizing Joy is their daughter—Uzor's child, hidden by her father. This revelation shocks Bola, leading her and Uzor to rekindle their romance.
