The Healing Rhythm

In The Healing Rhythm, Hadiza and Terfa build a steady life in Lagos marked by quiet rituals and easy affection. Jide arrives from the UK as Hadiza's former suitor and rekindles an emotional tie that crosses into a kiss. Guilt drives Hadiza home where Terfa waits and the confession breaks his trust completely. Terfa says he can forgive but the betrayal takes root and his mother storms Hadiza's workplace to shame her and question their child's paternity. Months of attempted reconciliation follow yet Terfa remains haunted by visions of the affair and his body recoils from her touch. Terfa finally asks Hadiza to leave and she moves into a bedsitter while leaning hard on her colleague Zaki.
