The Ground Between Us

"The Ground Between Us" follows Doyinsola Coker, a tough exec at her dad's firm, and Pastor Timothy, a rising church leader, in a heated fight for prime land. She wants it for business growth; he plans a mega setup with church, school, and hospital. Doyinsola digs for dirt on him but finds none, so they meet and connect. Dates lead to romance and a joint bid idea. Timothy risks it all by using his church as loan collateral, ignoring warnings from his aide Victor, who later exposes him, costing Timothy his pastor role. Doyinsola's dad pressures her to win alone, so she betrays Timothy, grabs the land solo, and fires her questioning assistant. Timothy confronts her, heartbroken over lost ministry. Later, guilty Doyinsola offers him the hospital part to run, but he rejects at first, saying no to deceit. They end up working together as friends. He admits his ambition blinded him, and her betrayal made him see it. She must forgive herself, he says, as they look to the future with hope.
