Storyline
Tonye Williams is a high-achieving branding strategist in Lagos. She wins the account of fashion designer Mrs. Victoria after a polished boardroom pitch. Tonye is engaged to Folarin, a supportive and patient man. She carries deep resentment toward religion, blaming God for the deaths of her father and baby brother. Her demanding career and late nights exhaust her. During a presentation to a corporate client, she collapses and is rushed to the hospital. The diagnosis is terminal ovarian cancer, and doctors give her between three and six months to live. Tonye scoffs at her mother's prayers. A car accident triggers a vision of her late father and brother, who tell her it is not her time. She emerges spiritually transformed and declares that only God can heal her. She refuses the recommended specialist treatment in Germany and dedicates herself to street evangelism with a megaphone and Bible. Her fiancé Folarin and best friend Nina struggle to accept the drastic change and try to convince her to pursue medical care. Despite the doom-laden countdown, Tonye's cancer appears to vanish, and she celebrates her remission as a miracle. She returns to work with renewed energy and takes on multiple projects, earning praise from her managing director and Mrs. Victoria. She dives back into her career and gradually abandons her evangelism. She packs away her megaphone, skips church, and begins drinking again. Her mother and Folarin confront her about turning her back on the God she credits with saving her. Tonye angrily dismisses them and questions whether the diagnosis was ever correct. Shortly after the confrontation, she is hospitalized once more. Tonye lies unconscious on a respirator while her mother and Folarin pray desperately by her bedside. When she wakes, she asks the doctor how long she has left. The doctor repeats the same grim forecast of three to six months, and the film closes on the scripture from Jeremiah 29:11.
