Storyline
King Ezeobi's patience snaps when Prince Ahanna's drunken ways threaten the Adima line, and he warns his heir that an election could replace him. Ahanna laughs it off, but the Queen pleads with him to take responsibility. In Royal Company, Uzoma, his childhood betrothed, returns from abroad with her father Chief Desmond, only to be insulted by a drunk Ahanna; she refuses the marriage. The Queen brokers a compromise: Uzoma will run the palace for two months, then she is free to leave. With free rein, Uzoma reorganizes the household, reassigning Chidi to the kitchen and imposing strict schedules; Ahanna's rage meets her stubborn resolve. Leo, Uzoma's old friend and a successful businessman, visits with the Queen's blessing, and Ahanna grows jealous. Then Nkoli's mother storms in, revealing that the Queen is not Ahanna's biological mother and that the babies were swapped at birth. Ahanna confronts the Queen, accusing her of using him, and the King is shattered enough to threaten divorce. Ahanna hides in his room for two days, until Uzoma confesses her feelings and urges him to move past their parents' mistakes. The family elders plead with the King to protect the kingdom's stability, and he eventually calms, publicly reaffirming Ahanna as crown prince and blessing his marriage to Uzoma. In the throne room, the King asks Uzoma to stand by Ahanna and asks Ahanna to accept her; both say yes. A beaded necklace is placed on Ahanna, and Uzoma is declared princess. They embrace and kiss as the weeping Queen rests her head on the King's knees, silently seeking forgiveness, and harmony returns to the palace.
